- Usability guarantee – ‘if you use our methods I guarantee you usability success.’
- Rate the usability of your products against your competition
- Relate your usability score to business case numbers for example:
- Increasing your customers
- Increasing usage of your product
- Reducing the number of customers leaving
- Reducing support cost
- Spend a lot of time on good personas
- Be results driven
- Survey our internal customers on how well we have supported their efforts.
- Try to resolve the top 10 customer support calls
- Own a metric that no one else owns – a metric that shows business value
- Most business partners assume usability when they write their business plans. Assume a baseline usability score. Take credit for anything above that baseline.
- Focus on delivery
- Tell management when the competition is hiring
