The focus information you need to get from the communication is as below:

--The current mode/methord of trainning if any

--The pitfalls in the trainning mode/methord

--The bussiness problems that your client is facing

In the end, you should write out Gap Analysis document including such content:

--Current situation

--Ideal situation

--Gap
